History
AMC is backed with over 20 years involvement in the agribusiness sector as a company and an aggregate of over 120 years experience within our team. AMC has an extensive history and track record of achieving results for our clients across a number of sectors.
AMC’s predecessor company, Rural Management Partners (RMP), was formed in 2002 from the demerger of the Taylor Byrne Agribusiness management division in partnership with the Australian Agricultural Company Limited. Chris Evans, Managing Director of RMP, purchased AACO’s shares in 2006 and grew RMP to a leading farm management firm with assets under management in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
In 2007, Charlie Blomfield, now AMC’s Managing Director & CEO, left his then employment with RMP to form Carthona Agriculture providing corporate advisory services to agricultural investors.
As part of a succession plan between Evans and Blomfield, and to increase the service offering and capacity of both RMP and Carthona Agriculture, the two firms merged operations to form Agricultural Management Company, opening offices in Sydney and Darwin, in additional to the Brisbane headquarters. Chris Evans remains within AMC as Non-Executive Chairman, and Charlie Blomfield as Managing Director & CEO.
AMC is positioned as the pre-eminent farm management firm and is the number one choice for firms seeking a strategic partner in agribusiness.
